I am preparing for the delivery of an Aurora in Q1 2026. Is the hardware manual available so I can make new interconnecting cables?

The 8000 series hardware manual will show everything you need. The connections are all the same.

Other than specific things like the higher power of the PA, setup should not be any different than the 8000 radios. In fact, there should be less cable clutter depending on whether you have the M model or the one with the plain front panel. This is one of the big selling points for the Aurora besides the higher power and more efficient transmitter. That and having a built-in power supply and a auto tuner that can handle 500 watts.

Does anyone know: will it come with a NEMA 6-15 (15 amp 240 volt w/ground) power cord?

I have a drawer full of NEMA 5-15 (120 volt) power cords, including some made with #14 wire, but would like the option to use my existing 240 volt outlet.

Looks like shipping in time for Christmas is only going to happen for the very few who were the first to purchase. I paid in full on July 27, 2025. Sore would look good under the Christmas tree!

It ships with a typical 120V cord, not a 220VAC cord.

Since it never draws more than 6amps at 120VAC, you really don't need to run it on 220VAC.

If I want it to run off of 220VAC, what fuse would I need — or is the voltage independent of fuse used?

Generally, it is 1/2 the rating of the 120VAC fuse.

what type of fuse and what value does the 120VAC power supply require?
