There are so many CW reader applications already available.
Download the one you like more and interface it with the DAX.

The Flex system design philosophy puts the radio at the center supplying all the data from the radio to external applications. This allows each ham to configure their custom installation. This is similar to configuring a stereo system from chosen components rather than a combined console stereo of manufacture chosen items.

I think you'll find that SDC Skimmer will exceed any expectations you have for a CW reader.

SmartSDR for Mac has built-in CW decoder. It works really well.

The MAC has some great features. I tried the CW Decoder and it worked on a single signal but not on the entire band. If there was N1MM for MAC I might use it more. There are many loggers for MAC but a lot of the tools we use in N1MM for hunting down multipliers and SO2R operation aren't there. As we know, there isn't a perfect solution for all users.

I am disappointed that the MAC software has a complete robot mode for FT8. You can set it and forget it. No one talks about it since it is the elephant in the room.

I just tried to implement his S.A.T control but I could not get it working correctly and he hasn't written it up fully yet.
