JS8Call, Flex 8000 series, SSDR v4.13, Windows 10

I struggled to get the CAT command to work, so searched various posts going back a while and tried various suggestions to no avail.
The following may help as it works for me:

JS8-Under Settings, choose Radio Tab, Rig: I eventually used Kenwood TS-2000, Rig Options: Set PTT Method to CAT, (Port: COM8 greyed out, I think was determined by settings in SmartSDR Cat), Choose Data/Pkt, and Split None.

CAT Control - Serial Port: Com 8, Baud Rate: 19200, Data Bits, set all 3 to Default

Audio: I chose DAX Audio RX 1 and DAX TX. Notification Soundcard, I chose the display my PC used

SmartSDR CAT: Edit CAT Port, add a Name, Protocol: CAT, Port Type Serial, FlexVSP, COM8, VFO Slice A, Auto Switch TX Slice: Enabled, Split Mode: Defaults to SO2R (normal)
When the software is operating, Process: The name you have chosen will show here.

The setup for JS8Call is the same was WSJT.

SmartSDR CAT does emulate Kenwood commands, so just about any current Kenwood model does work.

If you want a bit of background on how it all connects together, this video is worth the time.
