Problems with audio inputs/outputs after upgrading to v4.1.3

Hi everyone,
I am a very satisfied owner and user of a FlexRadio 6700 and have been using v3 until now. Yet, I decided to update to 4.1.3 after this was published. No problem, except for the fact that my previous profiles did not work properly with the new version. So I had to redefine new ones. CW and phone are now working perfectly.
BUT: FT8 doesn't work. I followed up the advice given by Ken Wells (Configuring WSJT-X for the FLEX-6000/8000 Series), everything is fine. The DAX control panel shows blue buttons, but there is no audio going to WSJT-X/JTDX. Even the advice given by Tim Ellison (How to Manually Reinstall the DAX Drivers) didn't help.
Obviously, this is a Windows problem. The device manager says under 'Properties': "The device settings for ... were not migrated from the previous operating system installation due to a partial or ambiguous device match." This is indicated even after having deleted the drivers following the instructions given by Tim Ellison.
Any idea? Thank you in advance!
Hans, DK5JI

Do you have TX DAX turned on in SmartSDR? That would stop the audio from making it to the transmitter if it is off.

The last statement in my initial posting is incomplete. It should read: This is indicated even after having deleted the drivers following the instructions given by Tim Ellison and re-installing them without starting SmartSDR.

This is just to give an update. The problem is still existing. I tried to deactivate the memory integrity and re-installed everything (after going through the procedure described by Tim Ellison). No change. Yet, I am now unable to activate the memory integrity again because of the "incompatibility" of the drivers by Flexradio Systems (audiodax.sys, iqdax.sys etc.).
I installed SmartSDR v4.1.3 on my laptop without any problems (after just deleting the old v2).
I wonder if anyone had the same problems.

For WSJT-X you must have DAX selexcted in 3 places:

    1. On the Slice Flag
    2. On the DAX Panel
    3. On the Control Panel

The DAX buttons must be blue. and showing audio (red line) going to and from the radio to the WSJT-X app.

@NE1B: Tnx, Bill, yes, everything is BLUE... I have been working with FT8 since a couple of years and know how to configure the software. But sorry, as I wrote earlier, it seems to be a problem on the Windows side.
The Windows Device Manager lists all the audio inputs and outputs. When you click on any of these, you get the following message under Properties (well, it's in German, as I use a German-language version of Windows): "The device settings for ... were not migrated from the previous operating system installation due to a partial or ambiguous device match." Sorry to say, this message is shown since I have updated from v2 to v4.1.3.
Again - all the buttons are BLUE, but I don't get a signal in my WSJT-X or JTDX.
For the time being, I'm doing FT8 with my laptop: There is no problem with v4.1.3.

This error is notoriously difficult to fix. The cause is a software update that does not cleanly replace relevant registry entries, leaving wrong or corrupted references.

    Possible solutions:

Assuming you keep good housekeeping, use the Windows System Restore to roll back to before the 4.1.3 install. You should find everything is working and you can make the 4.1.3 update again.

If recovery from the back-up fails for some reason, next would be a complete uninstall of SmartSDR using software such as Revo Uninstaller set to scan and remove related registry entries post uninstall. Ensure back up of profiles but do not reinstate SSDR settings. Let the new install create its own new settings and progress from there.

@EI4KF: Thanks Erik, I very much appreciate your suggestions. I will look into this tomorrow!
