    @Nigel on windows you can run smartsdr next to it or not, depends which program you want to tx from. On linux after .net install is done it’s just a matter of extracting the tar and running the StationPilot file. Probably chmod +x on it to ensure it is executable first.

    I totally understand your need to get compensation for your software. I'd like to suggest that you might get more $40 subscribers if you made a free "trial" version so we could see what it's all about. Maybe disable the "save" function, or only good for 30 days—something like that? Right now the all-or-nothing approach makes it easy for those of us who are merely curious and not bleeding edge early responders to choose "nothing" ..

    Got my issue cleared up. Turns out the stream from the radio is 24khz, not 48khz and I didn't have 24khz listed as an allowed sample rate. Once I added it the issue was resolved and I'm now everything is working great. Keep up the amazing work!

    Build 1.0.7 since few days ago. Added a second payment processor for rest of the world outside Europe.

    Lots of requested improvements and settings on panadapter, waterfall speed etc.

    CW decoding working really well now.

    403A Rotator genius device - to be tested.

    I still need to do macOS build for this version.

    I tried to pay from Canada, but no joy. I was able to purchase with the EU processor.

    Oh, maybe not. It says Purchase not found and Wise says Declined.

    Comments about 1.0.7: The ability to hover over the variable setting and use the mouse wheel to adjust is really a necessity.

    @ka9ees mouse wheel is working fine for me now, are you still having problems? Every slider should show you a value if not by hover then some label. Let me know if i missed anything obvious

    I will check it in a little bit.

    It only scrolls the section up and down. Plus when I hit "memory" it shuts the 8400 down.

    thanks for helping me out with the payment processor.

    I always believe in supporting anybody who writes a significant amount of code that I find it pretty disturbing that everybody thinks that programming should be given away for free.

    After all, it is only €40 and yet we don’t hesitate to spend five to spend thousands of dollars to build out our ham shack.

    The only people that are worse are pilots who own $100,000 airplane and then complain when they have to pay for $25 of parking at an airport. Lol.

    Did you get my message about 1.0.7 crashing on Linux?

  • serialcoder
    serialcoder Member ✭✭

    @DaveC nope did not see that, sorry, where did you send it?

  • DaveC

    I tried to start an issue in GitHub but it didn't seem to work. Here is the output from the crash. It started up OK but when I connect to my radio, it crashed.

  • serialcoder
    serialcoder Member ✭✭

    @DaveC Ok thanks, I see 2 errors, I'll upload a new linux release to 1.0.8 in a bit to workaround the one and there is an audio error which could possibly be fixed with some linux config.

    Which linux distro are you using?

  • DaveC
    DaveC Member ✭✭

    Ubuntu version 24.04.3 LTS

  • serialcoder

    @DaveC I've uploaded a new linux build. Let me know how it goes

    OK will do. Thanks

    @serialcoder 1.0.8 fixes the crash, but there is no audio on my Linux computer. Also the spectrum on my Windows computer freezes and I have to restart the program to get it to work again.

  • serialcoder
    serialcoder Member ✭✭

    For the audio, verify the ALSA bridge is installed:

    apt list --installed | grep pipewire

    You must have all of these:

    • pipewire
    • pipewire-pulse
    • pipewire-alsa
    • wireplumber

    If missing:

    sudo apt install pipewire pipewire-alsa pipewire-pulse wireplumber

    Force ALSA default to PipeWire:

    Check: cat /etc/asound.conf ~/.asoundrc 2>/dev/null

    If missing, create one of them:

    pcm.!default {
    type pipewire
    }

    ctl.!default {
    type pipewire
    }

    Then restart audio:

    systemctl --user restart pipewire pipewire-pulse wireplumber

    With the freezing, go to Help → Open Logs Folder. Go to settings → general tab and set logging level to Information and restart the app.

    With more detailed logging enabled send me the log file after the problem occurred.
