Feature license required

I tried installing 4.01 on my 6300 SSDR v1 radio. It gets to the end of the process and I get Smartlink screen saying "feature license" required. Never had Smartlink (V1). Couldn't do anything else. Actually had a radio Smartlink screen, a DAX Smartlink screen and a CAT Smartlink screen all saying the same thing.

At least my 8400 works well.

I would submit a help desk ticket.

I opened a ticket and the problem is a bug in 4.01 to be resolved later. The 6300 is a stand-by rig and still works on v1.12.1

    Mike

There is a bug with a v1 upgrade. It will be fixed in the next release at the end of the month. You will need to downgrade back to your v1 copy of SmartSDR which should still be on your computer.

    Sorry, Mike

I'm having the same problem, and I was thinking of taking advantage of the sale price of SmartSDR+.

Mike, do you have the link for the procedure to downgrade from the PC?

    Thanks,

    Dana

Dana, can you explain a bit more? I am not sure what you are trying to do.

All good, Mike. I was just looking for the instructions to downgrade from v4.0.1 back to v1. I figured it out a little after I posted. Looking forward to the update at the end of the month.

There is a known issue upgrading V1 and V2 radios. If this is your case, submit a help desk ticket.

    Their service is HOPELESS !!!
They offer a bargain but the upgrade from V2 does not work and the bargain expires.

Even the Russians from Expertsdr offer WAY BETTER SERVICE.

I own 4 Flex radios and the first time I need help I am so disappointed !!!

Helpdesk upgraded the radio from V2 to V3 to overcome the V4 installation issue.

    All fine now.

For all those that thought that you were given a V3 license for free please note that as soon as you update to V4.1.3 your radio will revert back to a V2 license

    Ken, no, not true.

Given your other posts, it sounds like your radio needs a reset. Give that a try.

    Hi Mike

This is a big can of worms we are opening here.

To make it as clear as i can.

I downloaded the V4.1.3 Firmware and proceeded with the upgrade all appeared to go well.

However it was noted that after the upgrade

the NB was still not fixed and the ANF is now broken and the license version had reverted to V2

Note: my radio was connected directly to my computer and had no internet connection.

    Screenshot (6).png

Before the update my settings showed version V3 license.

Resetting the radio did not change anything.

Hi Ken, I think that temporarily connecting the radio to the Internet will solve the issue. The radio needs to get the license verification from the Flex server.

If that doesn't do it, submit a help desk ticket.
