FLEX RADIO HOPELESS SERVICE !!!! 6300 upgrade stuck and bargain expires...

I want to buy the V4+ software as the deal expires 1st of December but after two days the helpdesk is completely neglecting my two support questions.

I cannot log in to my Flex as it says "featurelicense required" coming from V2 license.

How difficult can it be sitting behind a desk probably even remote home working answering a simple question.

I will tell all my friends not to buy FLEX as service is horrible, mails, tickets, support pages but not a single living soul doing anything....

    Per their recent announcement:

"In celebration of Thanksgiving, FlexRadio will have limited staffing on Wednesday and will be closed on Thursday and Friday (November 26th-28th).  We will reopen on Monday and look forward to assisting you with all your inquiries, including Sales, Shipping, Service, and Technical Support, at that time."

I would not give up on them. Follow up your Help desk ticket on Monday with an explanation that your request pre-dated the deal expiry and ask for the appropriate customer assistance.

It was a holiday weekend over here (most people took 28 off too) … I assume that Flex will take care of this when they reopen on Monday

In EU nobody celebrates thanksgiving, so we are not aware of any holiday weekend… They could put such info in the **** automated replies…

I bought smartsdr4+ for one of my 6300 radios but apart of a bunch of confirmation emails I got NOTHING…

One should think that after paying the radio would get upgraded automatically but no. I have no idea how this is going to work…

On the other hand I remotely installed my other 6300 that runs firmware 2 and I noticed that smartlink is barely working. I can do 17m remotely but switching to any other band makes the radio crash and smartlink go offile for 30 seconds. No idea what this is. One would think this old software should work by now stable.

I read similar issues about the V3 software and already feel sorry for buying V4 as I also read online reports of similar crashes on V4…

What is happening there ??? The only reason I bought Flex was for operating remotely and if this doet not work it is an expensive brick.

Make sure you subscribe to the FlexRadio Insider as well as social media. We do email customers for events such as this.

If you FLEX-6300 did not get licensed correctly, then open a support ticket. The same is for your SmartLink issue. It might be the radio or some sort of network layer issue. But, it is not a bug in SmartSDR but something external or unique to your radio. More diagnostics is required from our staff. The SmartLink software is very stable. If it wasn't you would hear more from many people.

As an example, a friend of mine operated my AU-520 on CQ for CQ WW this weekend and he told me it was like 'being there'.

Like I said, more diagnostics are required to get to the root cause of your problem.
