you may have to add a sequencer to slow down the 7610.

What happens if you use the PTT on the back of the amplifier and have the amplifer key the radio?

I use those settings all the time with no problem.
what mode are you using? Is this FT8?

How are you using the amp, CAT or RF sense??

Even with that error you can still transmit especially when you are using SSB

it works fine on FT modes and SSB but not CW no errors on anything but CW using ci-v for freq control and hard wire (rca) for PTT

    Sam,

What do you have besides the 7610 and PG XL? Tuner? Antenna Switch?

Dave only other device is an EA4TX antenna switch, however i did figure all this out all i did was connect PTT out from the radio directly to the PGXL then daisy chained it to the TGXL all good now
originally the radio was connected to the TGXL then PGXL... post contest i'll dispose of 1 7610 and install 2 X Flex 6600's appreciate all the advice fellas 73 Sam

yes. PTT goes to the PG then TG.

If you have Pg, TG and AG, the PTT would go radio→ AG→PG.

Tuner Genius in that configuration gets PTT from Abtenna Genius over the LAN.

wait, PTT was previously always supposed to go to TGXL not PGXL first to avoid blowing the amplifier finals . so when did that change???? There are tons of posts up here saying just that????

and Dave from your other post

According to the Tuner Genius manual, the tuner will not output PTT to the amp until the tuner is done tuning or changing tuning settings when moving frequency.

15.3.3.2 PTT OUT This RCA connector is provided to supply a Push-To-Talk signal to other devices. The center pin is grounded when PTT is asserted. Note that the Tuner Genius XL provides this signal after making any adjustments to the tuning solution when it receives PTT. This signal can therefore be used to synchronize RF generation so that the RF signal is never generated before the tuner is ready to receive

the help desk DID say there is a danger and that caution should be taken when tuning but as i bypass the tuner because all my antennas are 1.1 to 1 i took the FAQ from there (help desk)

just a clarification. If the SWR is great why use the TGXL at all?
