Aurora - APD should remain enabled at all times?

I saw this post yesterday and the part about APD being enabled at all times was confusing - if something needs to be enabled at all times, why give the user the choice of disabling it the new Aurora?

Also - is it shipping? Maybe there are no dots to connect here with this…

    Polar modulation needs APD to have low IMD on the transmit signal. Since SmartSDR works with both 8000 series and Aurora, the button is shown.

    Aurora is not shipping yet but last statement from Flex still has shipping on track for this quarter of 2025.

    Thanks - it makes a bit more sense.

    Is polar modulation used beginning at one watt tx , or does polar modulation, for example, turn on at 100 watts tx? I guess my question is why is there a choice for APD on/off if it is always required to transmit? It should just be grayed out on the Aurora in that case.

    The SmartSDR for Aurora is still not released as Aurora is not shipping yet.

    Let's wait and see when it is released.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
