Remote 6400 upgrade from 4.0.1 basic to +

Mike (or anyone at Flex) - I had 4.0.1 basic on my remote 6400 and yesterday, I paid for the "+" upgrade. It's unclear to me when and how I will update my remote 6400 radio (yes, I have VPN access to the radio on the LAN side. I use the Flex either via a colocated computer on the VPN, or via SmartLINK).

So I have 3 questions:

  1. Please share how the "physical" update process to "+" works.
  2. If it's pushed by Flex, then do I need to remotely turn on the radio?
    1. My remote is in "lightning world", aka Florida, so I keep it OFF and remotely disconnect antennas when not in use.
  3. Is the "30-day" wait period only for new, unreleased features?
    1. In other words, if the items available for the 6400 are already released, is that "30-day" window still the case (it shouldn't)

Thanks :-)

    1. When + is released, it will be new software that you will have to load (just like 4.0.1). It looks like it will be v4.1 at the moment
    2. You will need your radio on at some point to have it update its license. But, this will happen pretty fast and I doubt you will even notice any delay.
    3. The 30 day Early Access window will end when we release 4.1. This is around November 30th

    Does that help you out?

Thanks for the update Mike. Somehow I thought that "+" was released. I have access to my remote as that's how I have been updating the radio.
