Smartsdr 4.0.1 will not tune outside of amateur bands
I found what I believe is a bug with Smartsdr 4.0.1. If I attempt to enter a frequency into a slice that is outside of the amateur bands, my Flex 6500 immediately reboots and smartsdr loses connection until the radio is finished rebooting. This happens for any general frequency above 160 meters or below 6 meters that I can see. This is a problem if I want to listen to any shortwave frequencies or tune into WWV on 15 MHz, etc. I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this? I have already created a help desk ticket.

Hi Jay, have you tried a factory reset?

Not yet Len but I will give it a try.

Update: The factory reset brought back general coverage receive capabilities. So that worked. When I tried to import back my 3.10.15 profiles, the issue returned. So I did another factory reset and it looks like I will need to create new profiles.

Hi Jay, when you re-import your profiles, try leaving the Preferences box un-checked. If that works, you won't have to recreate all your profiles.

Thanks Len. I am back up and running now.
