Wait time to choose a version of software

Hi,

I upgraded to v4.01 and now when I click the OPERATE button, I have to wait more than 3 minutes to see the list of software versions. Is this a normal behavior?

Thanks

Paulo

    No, that is not normal.

Try reseting the radio first to see if that resolves it: https://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020078612-How-to-Completely-Reset-a-FLEX-8000-6000

I am having the same wait time trying to boot up for morning nets.... I thought that doing a factory reset would eliminate all those old firmware revisions but they are all still there. Is that long list whats bogging down my load? 73's Ernie - N4AEW

The delay is not the old versions and that is just a small amount of data.

As a test, I thought I would recycle my Maestro and see if there is a delay as the data comes from AWS. But, my software versions loaded in milliseconds.

You might find that turning on autoconnect to last radio helpful.

If it is still a problem, you may want to open a support ticket.

I have not updated my radio to Ver4. I'm still on v3.10.15. I'm also noticing a very long time to see the software versions on the from Maestro (Flex 6600M). I did a shut down and a cold boot up and it's still quite the same. BUT - it does come up with the list of versions eventually. Perhaps 3-5 minutes. I was able to repeat this several times, but a few time's the version list came up right away……..So maybe a AWS issue if the radio is looking for new versions?

SmartSDR on the PC connects right away. So - just chiming in with the same issue…. Something changed. Since it's working - I'm not going to request any resolution….. But as others are having this issue, the collective information might be useful……. wd9jen, Mark

SmartSDR on the PC connects right away because it uses it's own version, IMHO.

I have the same problem since upgrading to 4.0.1. I have a 6600M and I also run a Maestro A version connected to the 6600M via Multi Flex. I see the same wait times on the 6600M that have been mentioned, 3 to 5 minutes for the versions to show up. The Maestro A gets them almost instantly. Both are hard wired to my network, no WiFi. I submitted a ticket and Tim is sending me out a new SD Card.
