Smart SDR 4.0.1, DM780 6.8.0, CW Split function fail

I've been using DM780/Winkeyer with previous versions of SmartSDR for years. Just upgraded to SmartSDR 4.0.1 on a Flex 6500 a couple days ago. This morning I tried to work a CW station running split. When I clicked SPLIT, it worked normally. Slice A had SPLIT illuminated and Slice B opened a couple KCs up, in TX.

As soon as I transmitted a macro in DM780, Slice B stayed, but TX went back to Slice A. Slice A then showed SPLIT and TX illuminated.

I'm usually pretty good at figuring this stuff out, but this one has me stumped as I don't know if this is a DM780 issue or 4.0.1. I checked Options in DM780 and everything seems as it should be.

Suggestions welcome,

    Mike,

    I would open a ticket. And, is this the new version of HRD or old version?

    You can look at the CAT log and see if HRD sent new commands to change any of the focus.

    When the latest version of HRD v6.9.0.17086 (27-Oct.2025) came out, I installed it and my Logbook entries were GONE😲, so I reverted back to the previous version and my Logbook was restored. (Apparently I'm not the only person that had that issue. )

    I had several different test variations typed out, and in the midst of that after opening and closing the Rig Control and DM780 screens a couple times, all of a sudden the issue is gone. This was after I duplicated the TX switching slices several times during testing. I changed nothing.

    Weird. Guess I'll just keep an eye on it and if it acts up again I'll open a ticket if you think that's the best route. Thanks for replying!

    If you can recreate this still, do it while having the CAT LOG (bottom of the CAT screen) window open so you can see (all) the CAT commands. You can then capture the failure and submit via a helpdesk ticket.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
