Upgrade from V2.12.0 to v4.0.1 and won't run. "FeatureLicense Required"

I upgraded from a version 2 to 4.0.1 and I understand that v3 features won't be available but now I get nothing but the Smartlink radio choser page with FeartureLicense Required" displayed.

I understand that I don't get the v3 features but now I get no radio at all.

Anyone else?

Hi Bill, is your radio connected to the Internet? It needs that for license verification. It just needs a one time verification, then it will operate normally.

If that is not the issue, submit a help desk ticket.

I am having the exact same problem as Bill and my radio is connected to the internet. Before I submit a help desk ticket, has a fix been identified?

Is there a way to connect to the license server directly rather than as a step in the upgrade?

Here's an update on things tried today
    - I was trying to upgrade my 6400 from version 2.12 to 4.01
    - Previously running fine on Version 2.12
    - I received the "FeatureLicense Required" message when I started SmartSDR 4.01
    - I was unable to advance to the panadapter display
    - I tried to set up SmartLink but received the red dot when testing communication with SmartLink
    - I did a factory reset on my 6400 as per manual (including holding power button down, powering off, waiting etc)
    - No change to results when starting SmartSDR 4.01
    - No change when testing SmartLink. Red dot still appears
    - Reverted to Version 2.12 (including radio firmware update/downgrade). Works fine with version 2.12

Has anyone resolved the issue with version 4.01 yet? Does anyone have suggestions on things to try?

    Many thanks for looking

Hi David, there seems to be an issue upgrading from 2.12.1 to 4.0.1. I would submit a help desk ticket.

I had the same problem trying to go to new software. I tried to revert to 2.12.1 and seemed to have nuked the radio. What did the guys at flex do to fix the problem?

Hi Mark, once you downgrade, you need to do a factory reset.

Thanks Len, a reset is in the immediate future, but I was curious about the solution to the version 4 issue.

Hi Mark, the solution to the V1 or V2 to V4 upgrade issue is to submit a help desk ticket.
