Noise reduction persistence with mode changes

If I set the noise reduction level to let's say 50 in CW mode and I then change modes to LSB or USB and then back to CW, the noise reduction is disabled and set to 0.

Am I missing some basic configuration here or is this the way it is? I have both global and TX profiles defined but it seems that noise reduction levels are not saved with these profiles.

In the meantime, I'm working on a node red flow to set the noise reduction level whenever I change modes.

Hi Les.. as far as I know (and see) NR is set 'per mode' so yes, if you switch from CW to SSB directly, you'll lose your AGCT and NR settings.

What I (and some others do) is use Global Profiles to store best settings for each band and operating mode — e.g. a profile for 20m CW, another for 20m phone, another for 15m CW, etc. Then, just select the profile to switch bands and modes. Another advantage is that you can set the panadapters to only show that portion of the band as well, and set other parameters such as bandwidth, filters, etc. mode-by-mode.
