GPS problems

Immediately after my upgrade to v3.10.10 I noticed my GPS stopped working (maybe some sort of coincidence?). The GPS antenna is positioned on a side mount bracket outside on my tower and has a clear sky view and has always worked fine. I am unsure why the GPS no longer works since there is nothing in the way of diagnostics except the GPS panel where you have the choice of installing it or uninstalling it. I am not even sure if the antenna is active or passive. If active I would have hoped that the radio could confirm connection through current measurement of the preamp. The GPS panel says it is "active" but no satellites are visible.

Is this some sort of bug? Is the antenna active or passive? Anybody else notice how very slow the GPS is to converge and accumulate almanac data to begin tracking even when it is working?

I would hate to go back to old SW to troubleshoot this thing…

BTW the radio is a 6700
