Find "old" profiles and virtual memory settings and move to new PC
I have tried multiple power cycles, reinstall and so forth and decided to purchase a more modern PC as my current PC won't run Win 11. My question is if I do that am I able to move the files on my current PC over to the new PC regarding DAC and CAT as well as profiles since I can no longer get onto my radio to save any files (my info hasn't changed since last few upgrades).

Hi Michael… on a Windows machine, the default place for storage of the Flex profiles, etc. is usually in your computer's Documents folder, although you can change this as you export each version of your profiles.
I'm not so sure with the MAC, but maybe try doing another export and see where it attempts to store the file(s)? Depending upon how often you export(save) your profiles, there should be a number of them in the same folder. Again, on the Windows version, they are all date-stamped in the file name.

My problem is that after installing v3.10.10 SmartSDR on my new PC (Windows 11 with latest updates) I was able to communicate via ethernet with the radio. The SmartSDR box came up for SmartSDR, SmartSDR CAT & SmartSDR DAX. All indicated the Flex-6600, correct 16 digit S/N and my callsign. Under that was the message/button
"License Required - Use SmartSDR. When I clicked on the SETTINGS icon the message read " The radio does not have an internet connection. An internet connection is required to configure SmartLink."
The (new) PC I'm using is able to communicate with the internet and the PC is connected to the Flex (or I wouldn't be able to read the SmartSDR messages, including the Flex id etc. Using speedtest/net my internet speed showed 956 MBPS download speed and 48 MBPS upload speed.
Summary - I can't get past the SmartSDR sign in.0 -
In order to use the radio, no signin is required.
It might be time to open a support ticket to get over this **** with the licensing.

Hi Michael… as Mike VA3MW noted, it might be best to open a Help Desk Ticket and let the folks at Flex give you a hand.
That noted, I had the same problem when I upgraded to 3.10,10. My PC and Flex were directly connected to each other (no connection to the internet) and I got the same 'License Required' message. The fix was to temporarily connect the radio to the home LAN (and hence, to the internet) so that it could verify my license with Flex's 'home' servers. Once that was completed (very short duration), I then reconnected my radio and PC to each other and the message was never seen again :-)
Maybe this will work for you, too??? In any case, the Help Desk Ticket is a great way to go.
