Power Button
Anyone know why there is not a power button on the front of the amp?
I do not leave everything running 24/7 and to turn it off you must get behing it to turn the thing off. Bad design or what. Also… Just to add. My equipment is in a rack which makes it possibly that much worse.

This is something that does get asked a lot and I have passed on your question to the amp designer at 4O3A.
What I was told is that they thought it redundant. When the amp is standby mode, it is 99% off other than a small circuit board that has the job of turning on all the power to the amp. As a comparison it is the same as turning off your TV. While not totally off, it is mostly off.
Doing it this way also allowed for remote operators to easily turn the amp on and then off.
I hope that helps explain it.

It explains why they did what they did but for those of use who shut down entirely our system it makes more sense to have the ability to shut it off completely. That means ZERO power draw. And for those of us who have all of our equipment rack mounted this makes it very difficult. Perhaps they can consider a front switch on new models so it can be shut off entirely and not just a "standby" mode.
