No RF output from Flex 8600

in FLEX-8000 Signature Series

Last night, I powered down the 8600. This morning, I powered up the radio as normal and all indications were as usual. When I tried to enter the Tune mode, PTT activated, display shows a carrier, however, no RF output. I moved the Tune Slider to max and still no output. I entered the LSB mode and I see the normal modulation envelope on the display.

I have done a reset (power down and removed power cable). Any other suggestions.

    It sounds like you have rebooted, but did you also do a reset? They are 2 different things.

    I see RF compression, and your Mic level is pretty hot, but maybe it is just the meters not working. Do you have an external watt meter?

    I used Tim’s reset procedure. No change. I connected a bird wattmeter to the radio and terminated into a dummy load. No RF present.

    I checked all bands. On 80 meters, with tune power set to max,no RF. However, the SWR indicator on the SmartSDR display showed 1.5:1 and no indication on the output indicator.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor.
