8400 has distortion issue when RX-A engaged
When I select RX-A and use either of my receive antenna's I have the issue. I also ran a 30' wire in the shack and attached to RX-A connector, same issue.
No issue's when RX-A is not engaged.

Hi Dave… just to be clear, are you saying you are getting distortion on your transmitted signal when you are receiving via RX-A? or are you saying that the received signal on RX-A is distorted? In either case, can you provide a little more info on either what you're seeing or hearing that you believe is distortion? That will help us…

Start a FDX 2nd slice on an unconnected antenna port and have a look. I think you'll find that your transmitted signal is unchanged. Doing this makes sure you are looking at the actual transmitted signal.
If it isn't what you expect, please open a support ticket.

It occurs when I transmit, and the display is distorted. To me, it acts like the RX-A port is not grounded on transmit and it's getting RF. The received signal is fine on the receive antennas. It had been fine then all of a sudden it started this. I did open a support ticket and spoke with Ken, he thought maybe ver 3.9.19 was the issue. So, I thought I would put my issue out to the community. If no one else has the issue with 3.9.19, then maybe my rig is at fault.
Yesterday I spent about an hour trying a bunch of things. I put toroid's on every cable, I removed cabling on other equipment, I made sure all my grounds were connected properly. Going to try some other things today.
I already determined my transmitted signal is fine, I looked on a Websdr receiver. Plus, I've made countless QSO's without RX-A engaged and all is well.

I had a distorted signal on transmit but put RF chokes on mike and all cables on back of my 8600M; it is now in service for FAN noise that sounds like the fan hitting the case; I know the fans are louder but other people online said the same thing like he fans hitting the case; it has been over a month with the radio back in Texas!! I'm back to using my 6600M that was sent back FOUR times but never an RF issue ; good luck
