Censorship......new Aurora ad

I see Flex Radio doesn't want to allow discussion of their latest advertising. Pretty sad if that's the case. Maybe, once more people see it, Flex Radio might actually get why ads like the newest one are inappropriate.

Hey James, did Flex delete a post here about it ?

Yes they did. Apparently they aren't open to discussion of their advertising decisions. If you look on the groups.io list my post is there along with comments from others. Same thing on Flex Radio's Facebook page. Strange world we live in.

Tragic, actually. Flex removed several posts from the community that were critical of their software as their customers were reacting to the news they'd won a large military contract several years ago. The marketing guy who often posts here who is, let's say "a bit honesty challenged" absolutely denied it a few years ago in another post. It speaks very poorly of whoever chose to do that and my guess is, it WAS that marketing guy, not Flex per se.

The only posts deleted are those that are rude or not on topic. We have freely allowed customers to post constructive posts. I can't remember the last time we deleted a post on the community.

    Not true. Absolutely not true.

You are welcome to look at the log files any time. Let me know when and I'll set up a zoom call so you can see.

Try again Mike. That topic I started is gone. Even using the link you posted. Someone, maybe not you, doesn't want the subject of the thread discussed here. Maybe the website filters are what removed the thread. But, it is definitely gone.

I don’t need to. I watched it happen personally. One of mine was removed as were several others. There was lots of complaining and whoever was doing it - I’m guessing you - stopped. You saying the sky is green when I can see the truth with my own eyes is simply noise. In fact, just MORE noise. It is what it is.

    Hi Russ,
Just to clarify — I haven’t stopped anything because I never actually started. I'm not sure what happened in your case, but with 357 messages across 30 different threads that you have contributed to, I hope you can understand that I simply don’t have enough hours in the day to chase down something this minor. It sounds like you posted something that you baiting someone to actually delete your post.

If posts were being removed due to the nature of your comments, I think it’s fair to say we’d be seeing more than one go missing. The fact that your many other posts are still up strongly suggests this isn’t about censorship.

In this case, you’ve shared your opinion about an ad you’re not a fan of — and that’s totally fair. We hear you and respect that this is how you personally feel. That said, it’s important to remember that your view doesn’t necessarily represent how everyone else feels.

Please, let it go. We have said over and over that postings are deleted for very specific reasons.

As a reminder, this is part of the policy:

    Constructive Input Encouraged

We wholeheartedly welcome your thoughts, feedback, and ideas related to FlexRadio products. Whether you're offering a product suggestion, reporting a bug, or sharing a clever workaround, we appreciate input that is:

    • Constructive and solution-oriented
    • Respectful in tone and intent
    • Focused on improving the user experience

Passion and opinions are welcome — just keep it courteous and helpful to others.

    Off-Topic Content

To keep our space relevant and welcoming for all users, we ask that members avoid posting:

    • Content not related to FlexRadio Systems or amateur radio in general, especially unrelated commercial products
    • Political discussions or commentary
    • Inappropriate or offensive material, including content not suitable for a family-friendly audience

    Thanks for understanding.

    Mike,

What are you talking about ? I have shared NO "opinion about an ad you're not a fan of ". Show me that post, Mike. You're literally making up nonsense - as usual. Let's see you actually back up what you say for a change. Go ahead, Mike. Let 's see it. You are literally the only person I've ever seen at Flex do that over all these years.

Let what go, Mike ? I'm responding to misinformation you are propagating. For example in the previous statement.

Who asked you to "chase down something this minor" ? I didn't. Again, show me that post, Mike.

I do not create "bait" posts "asking someone to actually delete your post". Again, show it to me Mike. If you're going to literally insult me here - amazing thing for a marketing guy to do to a customer who has spent over $20,000 with their company and endured five radio, three amplifier and two tuner replacements to get one of each that actually worked, after countless returns, as well as failure out of the box of two Maestros - let's see you back up your statements and show me those posts, Mike. Come on, let's see even one.

No post of mine has ever been deleted "because of the nature of my comments" that were in conflict with any rule on any forum, including this one. It and the others were apparently deleted because someone at Flex - again, you are the only person at Flex that I can imagine would do something like that so I assume it was you - decided that open criticism of Flex's software capabilities just as they were entering into a major program activity with the government was bad for business. Again, show me any such post.

As usual, you are simply making up nonsense as you go along. If you keep making up lies, I'm going to keep responding to them, Mike. YOU let it go.
