update not working

in SmartSDR for Windows

Did the shut down, remove power then turn back on after a couple minutes. Started the installer and it ran through the usual install questions. Then the install screen with the progress bar just went away. I checked task manager, nothing.

Figured I would check here before a help ticket.

    I had to run installer in compatibility mode. Update complete and working fine so far.

    Contrary to someone's earlier post about APD….It can be active in Data modes but doesn't seem like it is doing anything. Same with CW.

    Hi Greg, APD only has any effect on modes that have more than one simultaneous tone, like speech (SSB, AM) or multi-tone digital. FSK (one tone at a time) or CW don't benefit from it. They can already use a non-linear amplifier cleanly. In the old days, we ran class C amps for CW and RTTY and class AB for SSB. APD has the effect of "linearizing" your finals for modes that need linear operation.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
