3.9 and USB issues

First I can’t get the radio to communicate with the Bandmaster. 8600 sees something on the USB port. But no band data is going to the Bandmaster. Baud rate ok CAT ok. No flow control. And told it to follow ta slice.

Something else. Any time I edit something and close the USB window very bad things happen to the radio. CAT

Are you using an ftdi cable?

I’m using the one they gave me. I gave up. They aren’t responding to my emails so I moved it to another radio where it works fine and have the Flex working with the Hamplus stuff

Peter, what do you see on the LOG for the COM port going to the BandMaster.

Highlight the port in SmartSDR CAT and click the log button at the bottom. It will show the communication flow.

Lots of back and forth between Hamnation and me. Turns out the FW inside the Bandmaster needed to be upgraded. They made s change to match the 8xxx. Now working fine.

I still get an ugly crash sometimes when manipulating this but now it’s all set so I’m good
