Looking for opinions on leaving the PGXL powered up all the time.
I have setup my complete station (powered via 12VDC or 120VAC) remotely controlled to be ON or OFF except the PGXL. I am wondering if it's OK to leave it powered up all the time in STANDBY and only putting it in OPERATE, via the Maestro, when I'm operating. My thought is if this is advisable then I don't have to deal with switching ON/OFF 240VAC. Comments from the Flex Community would be greatly appreciated.

Mine has power plugged in and rear switch on all of the time.
When you put the amp to standby, most of the power in the amp is turned off except for a circuit controlling the main power supply and Ethernet.1 -
It would be nice if there was an Auto-Sleep timer from Operate to Standby, IF there was no transmit for 30 minutes, or a adjustable interval!

Mine is mostly AC powered 100% of the time since I received it.
If you clean the mode in Standard mode, (not contest or broadcast) the PGXL automatically steps down the BIAS into a sort of hot standby mode. You can see the difference by watching the Bias current.

"If you clean the mode in Standard mode" is not a phrase I understand. Mike, please explain.

I think he meant if the amp is in Standard fan mode then after two minutes of no TX, the bias turns off, reducing excess heat and wasted electricity.
