GPSDO option with FLEX-8600 any problems?
using WSJT-X WSPR mode is off FREQ by 1HZ 80MTRS to as much as 7HZ on 10MTRS. It appears after the 8600 is on in excess of 12HRS it settles down. But the same thing happens next time its turned on. Have had the 6500, 6600 both spot on frequency after GPSDO locks up. I think this is a different GPSDO in 8600.

Can you post a screen shot of the GPSDO screen please. What is the ppb part?

GM Mike TKS, FYI the Radio Setup, GPS Tab - UTC time is not in sync with the bottom right of the FLEX 8600 display. I have the screen shot here but see no way to add it to this post.0

Let me suggest or note the procedure I use to capture a screen shot and then post to an email or this window. Open the Radio Setup, Select GPS or wherever you screen is. Be sure that that screen is selected and "in front" of all others. Press ALT and Print Screen at the same time….. Then go to the Leave a Comment section and Press CNTRL and "V" at the same time…. Here is mine using those steps.

Won't work for me, TNX anyway.0

Disregard my query, I have opened a ticket with the help desk. TKS Steve/n6kog0

OK. Let them know it is a GNSS not a GPSDO and include the screen shot.

TKS Mike, but that's not my screen shot. I do have the GPSDO installed in my 8600, but for what ever reason, I can't do a screen shot on this dell cpu. By the normal "Press ALT & Print" then go to this box & hit "Ctrl & V". I use the "SNIP" to get a screen shot, but can't put it here.0

Deroy,
I wanted to provide you with an update on your current RMA. What we discovered testing your unit is the issue, which presented itself as a hardware problem, is actually a firmware issue designated as SMART-10785. We have also determined the root cause of the problem. It has been addressed in the upcoming SmartSDR v3.9 firmware release. Once you install the SmartSDR v3.9 firmware, it will restore the 10 MHz GPSDO output...."
So it is broken at least until SmartSDR v3.9 firmware release.0 -

8600 with GPSDO says 28 seen 9-15 being used. However no lock.
Blue light in Version 3.8.23 is ON. A message in Radio Setup says:
"GPS is installed. Frequency error correction is not".
TCXO is the only 10 MHz option that seems to be usable. An external
10 MHz source that was used by my 6600 is not recognized when connected.
Error when attempting to use GPSDO is 3Hz at 15 MHz WWV. TCXO is good.
Radio arrived this morning. Hope I'm missing something.
Any ideas would be welcome.

Have you tried using the GNSS receiver to see if it works? Also, do you have the GNSS antenna hooked up to the radio? Maybe the software in the radio getting input from both the GNSS receiver and the GPSDO. And that is causing problems.

Hi Ned, it sounds like the same problem referenced above which is scheduled to be fixed in the next release (3.9.x).
