DAX Memory Integrity Issues
I had to disable Memory Integrity in order to install DAX, it works but there are occasional pops that I don't hear on any other computer. I'd really like to re-enable this since I use this computer for work and everything else.
Other than the occasional pop the system is working great.

Question for SmartSDR development team…
Is anything being done to address the -SERIOUS- issue of DAX drivers not being compatible with the Windows "memory integrity" feature?

I also disabled Memory Integrity in order to add the DAX drivers. But I get more than an occasional pop on my transmitted signal. It is on every FT8 transmission! Very embarrassing! I have previously called this thumping. I thought it was related to DPCs on my newer WIN 11 mini. I switched back to an older HP i7 WIN 10 which seems to be "cleaner" although I have seen an occasional pop depending on the # of processes and applications running. Yes, I have run Latency Mon which tells me there is no problem.

This did happen on 3.8 and now on 3.9.18

Bill: I don't know if it's related to your problem, but on my new W11 PC I was getting a "thunk" in my speakers anytime I opened an audio program or website with audio, even if the sound was turned off.
I solved it (with guidance from ChatGPT) by going to settings/device manager/Sound, video and game controllers. Open the properties for RealtekR Audio and under the Driver tab, click "Update Driver". Select "Browse my computer for drivers" then "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer". Select "High Definition Audio Device" (the Microsoft default driver). Click through the warning and close the windows after the driver installation is complete. The "thunk" was gone.
