Is it possible to use the remote microphone through Teamviewer to modulate my 6400?

I never did get that to work. If I am remote with my laptop, I use the internal mic with SmartLink.

If I am remote with just my Android phone, I use TeamViewer to control the station and RCForb to tune the rig, provide PTT and for audio in and out of the rig.

As Len said, SmartLink is the easiest way and as fast as any other method unless your only way to connect to the radio is via TeamViewer. Do you have a CGNAT situation?

SmartLink is as fast as Mumble and other modes as well.

You might be able to make it work but it will take some fancy audio plumbing and you may require a software audio mixer like

    to make it work.

I used Windows own Remote Desktop (not TeamViewer) and could never get audio to work right.

In the end, I wound up handling audio completely separately from SmartSDR and the rest of the radio: I used Mumble which is an opensource client - server - client solution. Mumble worked very well for me, including using a client on my iPhone making SSB just as natural as a phone call!

I believe @normancyyj is using Chrome Remote Desktop, and similarly used RemAudio as an independent path for the sound.

Summary: I wonder if you'll be better off handling sound independently from your desktop? Mumble and RemAudio may be two solutions to try. In the past, I've heard of guys using Skype, but Microsoft is just killing Skype so that won't work.

    Good luck!
