Picket post reception
Mine is a recent install of a 8400 running 3.8.21 on Win11. Everything works, I was able to hold side band and FT8 contacts just recently. However, I noticed from the first day that I got things running, there is a rapid clipping of the reception, you can hear it just like "picket posts" then goes away for several minutes before returning. It's visible on the waterfall and audible in the PC speakers. Since I'm seeing it on the Flex I'm assuming the problem originates there and not the PC because the PC gets its audio feed from the Flex. It occurs regardless of SSB or wsjt-x. Another forum thinks it's because my PC is using Wi-Fi, but as I've said, the PC is after the fact.
Thoughts?

Hi Glen, does it happen if you use headphones or powered speakers plugged directly into the back of the radio?

You could try the link local test and see if the problem goes away. This removes all the networking long enough to test.
On the surface, this sounds like a networking issue. You may want to open a support ticket so we can follow up onit.

SOLVED. I incorporated a switch to get additional Ethernet ports. The radio has been running without any glitches. Thanks to all for your help.
