Just hooked up my TGXL Today

I just hooked up my TGXL today to my Flex 6400 and double checked all the connections and have downloaded and installed the TGXL software on my HP desktop PC and Dell laptop. But before I fire things and and try it out. Does the TGXL disable the built in auto tuner in my Flex 6400 or do I just turn that off and disable it ? By the way I not using the TGXL with any Amp or PGXL as of yet.

Thank you.

put the tuner on the 6400 on standby otherwise you will be tuning the tuner; the green above the ATU should go white

OK what does this mean (No Band Data Found) When I press the Tune button on the PC controls or on the TGXL ? Nothing in the manual about this ?

Do you have the 6400 set up with the software? Is the TGXL on your network?

It sounds like you haven't configured the TGXL yet.

I don't have a full video for you, but this should give you a clue. It starts at the correct point if you hit play.

Now I am using the 1 X 3 Model TGXL Tuner with a Flex 6400 and no PGXL Amp. (At the moment) So I am not going to see a A & B on my TGXL I guess that only on the SO2R Models. OK let me read through the manuals and if I have any more questions I post them here. I did notice there is no power On/OFF switch.

    Thank you.

I do have one question that comes to mind as it relates to the Flex 6400 itself and the TGXL 1 X 3 model. Figure 6-1Basic 1X3 connection diagram on page 17 shows the jumper coax coming from antenna port number 1 of the Flex 6400 or 6000 series, over to the TGXL 1X 3 Input. So my Question is ON the FLEX (And or Maestro) You leave the antenna configuration (In smart SDR) on ANT-1 Only ? Just making sure.

Disregard I did find the power switch on the back.

That is generally correct. You could put a dummy load or another antenna on ANT2 of the radio. The antenna on ANT2 would not be tuned by the TGXL. I keep a 50 ohm dummy load on my ANT2 port.
