used device still registered to old owner

I purchased a used 6500 but it's still registered to old owner. I've emailed them with no response yet. I can't use it with it in the situation even though i purchased a new license for 3.8.21. This is my first Flex so any help would be appreciated

    Open a help desk ticket.. Usually works much better for these issues than an e-mail..

    another thing to try would be a full factory reset of the radio back to 'out of the box' condition. The Help Desk can assist you through the process.

  • Community Manager admin

    Register it to your own SmartLink account, and it will "un-register" it from the previous owner's account.
