8600 Can't Connect to SmartLink

I moved the 8600 radio offsite and now I can't see radio in Smartlink this morning. Running 3.8.21. We can see it locally just not through the router. The router UPnP is working as I can see my 6700 just fine. No 8600.

When we try and setup Smartlink or test it, the 8600 says there is no internet connection. It has the correct static IP, SM and GW in the network settings. UPnP settings in the router look good and they are the same (with different external ports. 4994 TCP, 4993 UDP).

I'm baffled on what is going on here and why it's not working over Smartlink.

Hi Kyle, as Nick mentioned, using a DHCP reservation instead of a static address is usually less problematic. If you can do that, you may solve your problem. Sometimes the router or switch is not on the subnet that you think it is.

If that is not it, you may want to submit a help desk ticket. Flex Support will have seen this issue before.

Using DHCP worked but didn't Flex fix this bug in a previous version of SmartSDR? Not sure why it was not routing. Only 1 subnet at the remote station.

Call me old school but I really hate to use DHCP reserve for multiple reasons.

I'm not sure. I did experiment with a static address when I first got my 6400 and never got it to work. Then I saw that Mike, VA3MW suggested using DHCP reservation to keep the rig at the same address. I did that successfully and never looked back.

Kyle, if this isn't fixed, please open a support ticket so Tim can track it and report back.
