FRStack not working with SSDR v3.8.19

Is anyone else finding that FRStack isn't working with the new SSDR upgrade? My Stream Deck REST commands no longer control the radio and FRStack's Radio Tune Detect no longer functions either.

I have been using FRstack to monitor my 6600M's voltage and temperature with v3.8.19. Those are the only features I use and I have not had any problems. There may be some differences in the new api that the author hasn't made changes yet to make everything work.

Ive been using Stream Deck XL with FRStack on my setup with a Win 10 pc. I just built a new pc and using Win 11. Ive also upgraded the 6500 to the new 3.8.19. On the old pc, I didnt have any problems with the stream deck. But with the new system, I could launch an app, no problems, but memories just wouldnt work, it would take sometimes 2,3 or even 4 button presses for a memory to work if at all. Same with launching global profiles. I changed the port in FRStack to 13523 and in the streamdeck. Worked for a bit then back to not working. I tried everything, changing usb ports on pc, deleting and reinstalling, the restcall 1.4. Still not working properly. I ended up deleting restcall 1.4 and installing restcall 1.2. So far it is working perfectly. So I couldnt tell if it was Win11 or the SmartSDR update or restcall is buggy.

I could click on a memory or global profile in FRstack with the mouse, and it was instant. Just seemed to be with the Stream Deck

Hope this long winded essay helps

Hey Rick, Just a data point in case it might be helpful. I'm running v3.8.19 on a 6700 with SSDR on a Win 10 computer (latest update) and although I don't use all of the many features in FRStack, those that I do seem to work fine after the update. This includes its integration with my Stream Deck. Sorry you're having trouble and I hope you get it sorted out soon !

Are you running version 3.8.12.77? A tune issue was fixed with this release.

    V3.8.12.77 (OSX, Linux, RPi, Win)

    • Add SQUELCH and SQUELCHLEVEL API to REST Slice
    • Update PGXL Power limit handling
    • Fix Tune Detection logic
    • Update to latest SDK 3.8

    Regards

I cant see v3.8.12.77 anywhere on the website. Im assuming your talking about FRStack

    Im using Frstack v3.7.38.75

3.8.12.77 is the latest version of the FRS Web API Service

The latest fixes are irrelevant to Rick's issues.

3.7.38.75 is the latest version of the actual FRStack software. I am running it with Stream Deck, and the new SSDR version, quite perfectly.

Update. I uninstalled StreamDeck v6.7.3 from my new Win11 Pc. I was running v6.6 on the old pc.

Installed 6.6 on the new pc, and installed Restcall 1.4. All seems to be working now as it should.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in. I am running SSDR v3.8.19 and FRStack version 3.7.38.75. Here is a screenshot showing my biggest concern at the moment and it doesn't involve Stream Deck.

FRStack is configured to detect when the SSDR TUNE control is activated and to deactivate the RCA TX jack that keys the amplifier. With the introduction of SSDR 3.8.19 it no longer does that (as you can clearly see in the screenshot) However, if I downgrade back to SSDR 3.7.4 with identical settings it works as it should.

Unfortunately, I'm just a PC operator. I found the download link for version 3.8.12.77 but there's no installer and I have no clue what to do with it, other than unzipping it into the 3.7.38.75 directory. That got me nowhere, and based on Erik's statement that it wouldn't fix my issues anyway my only choice seems to be downgrading SSDR back to v3.7.4.

I reverted to 3.7.4 because of this failure in the latest version. I do believe as you do, the problem is not with FRS but is with SSDR. But maybe FRS requires an update to work with 3.8 - anybody asked the author?

Also 3.8 requires careful monitoring on RTTY. Tune in a clear spot but the tune carrier is 2 khz up and in a contest, such as JARTS this weekend, is too often on top of someone.

Thankfully tunes are at low power so no real damage.

I sent a message to FRStack support on 10/17 regarding the tune detect problem. At that time I wasn't aware of the Stream Deck issue.

I imagine that the Flexlib api has a change in it that the author of FRSack has not had the opportunity to update his software to accommodate the new code. Letting him know about it is your best option.

    Hello Flex community,

I would like to apologize for my delay publishing the update to FRStack3. I completed this update on 9/2 but forgot to upload when 3.8 was released. If you have any issues, please reach out to support AT mkcmsoftware.com
