Antenna genius 8x2 permanently connected to the power supply

I run 100% remote.

My 12V DC power for accessories runs through a KMTronic Web Switch. When I shut down the station I **** this power line which turns off the power to the AG.

When you turn off the power to the AG, it grounds all antennas. This should answer your second question.

My other thought is that if you lose 12V power, you likely are going to have a pile of other things not working as well.

In my lectures on this, I ask that anyone building a remote to look at all the stuff you have had to touch a button so power cycle it or change modes, etc. You will still need the flexibility.

In my station, I have a switch for each of the following:

• 220V AC switch
• 110V AC switch (in North America, 110V AC is our house voltage)
• 12V DC Radio Power supply (this is an AC switch to turn power off to the power supply)
• 12V DC accessory power switch - this includes the AG, LP-100 and a few other items. I also use a different power supply that the 12V DC power supply and it is a Meanwell 5A 12V supply
• 110V AC switch for the PC - normally this is on 100% of the time but it can be used to reboot the PC at the remote station

That is what I do, but you might have a different idea.
