Does Flex recommend using Win11, I have the Flex 6600 running v.3.7.4 on Win10?

    I am not Flex , but i can honestly tell you that it makes Zero difference . we run it on both Win10 and Win11.

    I have been running Flex on Win11 for three years and never any Windows 11 related issues with FLex.

    Have you had other ham software issues with Win 11 that didn't occur with Win 10 ?

    I run SmartSDR n a win 11 nuc and a win 7 laptop with noticible difference.

    Pse correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't think that Flexradio officially supports Win 11 for SSDR?

    I don’t think we have an official document that states it like that. We have recommendations and allow users to make their own decisions. The application is limited by the .NET components I believe.

    (how is that for a vague answer) :)

    That's a very vague answer Mike .. Ever thought of going into politics? I say you are a natural 😁 Was pretty sure I had read that statement somewhere here long time ago. But if you say so. You are the Boss here at the Community (at least to me) ..

    The "official" answer is that FlexRadio supports all Windows operating systems that are currently supported by Microsoft. Of the current supported version of Windows, we have no preference which one you choose. Both function equally well.

    So Microsoft support for WIN10 Ends October 14th 2025, so pick your poison.

    I can expand on Tim's post (as in what does that really mean). :)

    You can likely operate SSDR on Win 10 even past the magic without issue.

    However, if you happen to open a support ticket we may have to say "Does it fail on Windows 11?" and may request that you test it on Windows 11 and see if the problem exists on Windows 11.

    This is normal in the software support business.

    In my experience running SSDR under Win10 side-by-side with Win11, I see no difference. Functionally, you'll be fine.

    But in my workplace, my Win11 computer is ostracized and firewalled-off from from everything else in the place :-O By having to turn off Core Isolation, I am put into a Digital Prison 😯 with only spiders and HF radio for companionship 🤣

    So, Mike or Tim,
    With Windows 10 support demise still a year+ away, is it reasonable to expect that the SSDR issue with Core Isolation will be resolved? Or is this an insurmountable type of issue that can't be fixed?

    I am currently using Windows 11 without any issues.

    Hey Tim, I'm curious if Flex considers Windows 11 Copilot+ on Snapdragon a supported operating system. I haven't switched to Snapdragon yet, but I'm about to upgrade my Surface Pro. It seems like Microsoft is fully committing to Snapdragon. I might also need to purchase a MiniPC in addition to a Surface Pro for the motorhome.

    Likely, but I don't know what Snapdragon is? If it, like CoPilot, is just another windows application, then there should be no issue.

    Mike, Snapdragon is a CPU similar to the ARM processor. It is a SoC ( system on a chip) processor.

    At the moment, like Arm, there and now Snapdragon plans (as of this minute and subject to change). However, that does not prevent someone else from building their own client on either of those platforms.

    Without wanting to interfere in your business, I have a feeling that Microsoft is migrating its Windows operating system to ARM. Just as Apple did a few years ago by moving to the ARM architecture, it seems that Microsoft also plans to do so according to its latest presentation.
    I think it would be good to work on migration.
    It's just my vision of the future.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
