I have the same problem with 3.8.8. I can turn the PG on and it will come up as AB, As soon as I turn on the Maestro-C and 6400 with Maestro-C set to 20M USB the Amp goes to AAB.
In another thread I posted a problem I am having with lost packets from Maestro-C when using the amp, resulting in chopped audio.0 -
Hi,
In my case with FTdx101 series this is normal with SSB to get AAB bias but returning to CW or Digital it should return to AB bias. V3.8.4 was working fine. What I understand this is not an issue with the Flex radio. I got in contact with PGXL head office in Montenegro and they created a service ticket. Of course this is not a high priority and my work around was by turning Off the radio for 2 seconds and back On in CW or Digital, now the PGXL will stay in AB bias (blue) and working as it should be. By staying AAB bias for CW or Digital the LDMOS we are running at higher current idle with a fast temperature rise and -IMD issues.

I also have a FTDX101. After being on SSB (AAB bias) and then switching to CW, the bias will automatically change to AB after sending a few characters. Using FW 3.8.8.
