I noticed that the cables online are wired a little different than you need for a flex 6400m. The one that came with the radio isnt long enough to tie off on my mic boom where my Heil PR30b lives. I didnt see one here at flex. Im not very good at soldering so I would rather buy one pre-made. Any recommendations?
Thanks

This is one I looked at. Is this right or would it not work correctly?
If you already have a short working mic cable with XLR to 3.5 mm trs plug, you might want to look at audio extension cable that has a 3.5 mm jack to 3.5 mm plug. They come in many lengths from 5 to 25 feet. Here is an Amazon link to a 10 footer:
I use these cables to extend my PRO 7 headset to the radio which is mounted in a rack about 10 feet from the operating table. Also use them to extend the head phones on my 6500.

I dont know why i didnt think of that. Duh . . LoL. I ordered the 6 footer
Thanks
You want to make sure you Mic cable is not harmonically related to any frequency you are using and hopefully, it has adequate shielding.
I would suggest that your add RF Chokes (Mix 31 or Mix 43) to the cable to reduce the possibility of any RFI issues.
