Class AAB on Icom CI-V

First, let me say that the changes made in the last couple of updates to improve the ability of various Icom rigs to "talk" to the PGXL have been wonderful here. One question though. The CI-V link from the Icom 7851 forces the PGXL into Class AAB operation when in USB-D1 (digital modes using the connector on the back of the 7851-- for modes like FT-8). There is no way to switch the PGXL to Class AB. Or am I overlooking something? Any way to incorporate this in a future update?

The amp will work in AAB on 6 and 160 in digital modes and AB in digital on other bands.

They are working on improving Icom USB-D detection to set amp to AB on 10 thru 80 meters

Thanks, Dave. My PGXL shows AAB from the 7851 regardless of the band when mode is USB-D1.

My PGXL BIAS is fine with 6600M - when paired with IC-7300 in DIGI mode it always sets to AAB - regardless of what the manual says:

The Power Genius XL has two preset amplifier bias classes, Class AB and Class AAB. You can manually select between the two classes using the touch-screen front-panel on the amplifier or the Power Genius Utility program. Click or touch the class button on the appropriate port. The button will cycle between (Auto, AB, and AAB)

...this option is not available from either the SW or the touchscreen of amp.

Latest that was just released...3.8.4? Sorry, not in front of amp. I installed the latest last night and fixed the BIAS issue. Still unable to select BIAS from either the GUI or touch screen. Bigger issue is when I run CI-V through the CAT2BCD converter the amp randomly cycles between bands. I have a open ticket with 4o3a for this issue. This renders my AG useless without BCD as I am forced to run CI- V directly from 7300 to amp.
