Screen freezing

Options

Hi Need some help. Had a power outage in yesterdays noreaster and my 6400 M was on when it happened. When I started it up today the screen keeps freezing up. Sometimes for as long as 30 seconds. I tried restarting the computer and adjusting the Panadapter rate and that didn't help. Any thoughts other than not to operate in a storm 😀 much appreciated

Power off the radio. Wait several minutes. Then, turn off the power supply. Wait a few more minutes and remove the DC power cable from the radio. Wait at least least 30 seconds then reconnect the DC power cable. Turn on the power supply. Wait several minutes so the radio's internal processors can come up properly. Then, power on the radio itself. Hopefully, that will take care of your problem.

Also, if this is happening in SmartSDR for Windows on your pc, you may want to reset your router or switch if you are using one between your 6400M and pc.

Hi Trucker Thank you very much for the reply. I took the easiest route first which was resetting the router switch and that seemed to do the trick.
