Sidetone from Morsekeyer6K when on LAN ?

Options

I am not getting a CW sidetone using Morsekeyer6K via LAN access to the 6400 . Is it not possible unless connected directly to the rig ?

Hi Andy, the short answer is no sidetone unless keying the rig from the key line or acc jack pin 4.

The reason is that any keying over LAN or WAN has enough latency as to make sending impossible (even on a very fast network).

The solution is to get the sidetone from the keyer, Morsekeyer 6K in this case.

If you can plug the keyer directly into the back of the radio, you will be able to use the radio's sidetone.

Thanks. I had a brain lapse and forgot that when I previously used it, I had the rig directly connected.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
