Has anyone experienced a Flex 6600 powering itself off, no other issues noted

I have Two 6600's in my shack

One of them

is powering itself off occasionally

This occurs regardless of if it is transmitting or not (NOT RFI)

The other rig does NOT have this issue at all

Both rigs are operating from same Lan Network etc

Has anyone else seen this issue?

I experienced just this kind of thing with my 6600M: mysteriously I’d find the radio turned off. In the end, it was a network issue, a bad 4-port switch. I replaced the switch, and gave not had this problem in two years. A bad CAT5/6 cable could do the same thing.

[Just adding that I had JS8Call or another digital program running on my Mac, with only xDax and xCat running when this happened, so the radio was sending data out.]

  • Thanks for the feed back and Yes that rig here with issue is on a Switch and not direct to the Modem Router switch that the other is connected too

I will change that so they are both direct on the Router Ports :)

    Cheers!
