AG8X2 + OM stackmatches and 4squares

edited June 2022 in Antenna Genius

"On three antenna ports on AG (80/40/20), we will use 2-port stackmatches for multiple antenna's per band (DX/NVIS/both).

On 2 of these stackmatches we will use 4-square arrays with 4 90 degrees directions.

With OM, can we setup the different configuations and choices with the associated windows popups for both connected stations, dependent on the actual band in use?

Would we need 1 or 2 OM's?

For each port on the AG, you set what OM relays you want, so yes when you change band, the relvant buttons will show up, allowing you to choose what antenna etc

It will depend how the stack matches are wired, some use an additional wire for the stack, some dont.

The OM provides 16 relays, so just count how many wires you need to use and you will know if you need 1 or 2 OM's

But is it possible to program and control with the Windows app:

    First band to 40m

Than choose stackmatch A or B or AB

Than if choose A for 4sq, directions?

    We have stackmatches for

    80m dipole/4square

    40m dipole/4square

    20m beam/beam

And all we will control bij Antenne Genius

    Please your advices

Yes, what you will have to do is create the combinations for everything (if you wish)

When you program it, you choose which relays to activate, you can have as many as you wish, 1 or all etc.

    E.g.

Relay 1 (A) and 2 (B) for Stackmatch (maybe more based on which stackmatch you use)

Relay 3 - 6 (or however many it requires) for 4 SQ

40M Dipole - Activate relays for Port A on Stackmatch (Relay 1)

4 SQ North - Activate relays for Port B on Stackmatch and East Direction (Relay 2 and Relay 3)

4 SQ East - Activate relays for Port B on Stackmatch and West direction (Relay 2 and Relay 4)

4 SQ South - Activate relays for Port B on Stackmatch and North direction (Relay 2 and Relay 5)

4 SQ West - Activate relays for PortB on Stackmatch and South direction (Relay 2 abd Relay 6)

    40M Dipole + 4 SQ North - Activate Port A & B on Stackmatch and North direction (Relay 1, 2 and 3)

    40M Dipole + 4 SQ East - Activate Port A & B on Stackmatch and East direction (Relay 1, 2 and 4)

    40M Dipole + 4 SQ South - Activate Port A & B on Stackmatch and South direction (Relaty 1, 2 and 5)

    40M Dipole + 4 SQ West - Activate Port A & B on Stackmatch and West direction (Relay 1, 2 and 6)
