DX Engineering Lan Filters

So I have a couple of the DXE-ISO-Plus lan filters kicking around. I opened one of them up tonight and there is absolutly NOTHING inside them. It is 2 RJ45's mounted on a PCB in a plastic case. Maybe the case is impregnated with ferrite to get rid of the noise??

    I think the jacks have the filtering inductors and isolation transformers in them:

    I have these in pairs in all my LAN feeds. Before I was picking up stray fr that was affecting my computer, and even knocking out the internet at home, even though I have a good set of CMC’s in my antenna feeders. After fitting them all my problems relating to this simply disappeared. Very pleased.

    They are expensive, and quite possibly conversion to Fibre lines would have been cheaper. Either way, one has to note that they are not suitable for Poe, as no dc can pass through them. For my bucks, I give them 10 out of 10.

    Thank you for cutting one up. It is nice to see inside of one. I did a google search and quickly found the item KD0RC identified. Very interesting. The other RJ45 I suspect is just a standard socket as a means to connect up.

    Guess my eyes are getting sour with age ;) Having difficulties reading the parts no. Any chanse you could post no from both RJ-45 jacks? Possibly a link to the supplier? Tnx in advance

    Sri Hari, but I think you misunderstood me. I didn't mean the finished product from DXE. I ment part no for the two RJ-45 jacks used. There are parts no on them on the picture.

    I would like to homebrew my own version. I can't buy from the US and DXE. It adds customs, VAT and handling coast and the handling could take up to 3-4 weeks.
