I have owned a flex 6400 for about 7 months now and using the XVTR port to drive a transverter I purchased from someone whos makes them in Ukraine. recently the transverter failed so I bought a new one thinking I would just run the FM carrier lower. but when I hooked up the new one I notice that the XVTR port was not driving the transverter like it used to. Nothing changed on the radio itself in the software. I even tried another transverter my friend has which is the same exact model transverter and flex 6400. his flex radio produces the drive needed like my flex used to.
I would just like to know if there is some kind of reset I can do or is this a hardware issue.. thank you

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a hardware issue. You might want to do a factory reset (export your profiles first) just to be sure. If that does not change anything, then submit a helpdesk ticket.

Did you confirm the drive settings are the same as the previous? How much lower is lower power?
Next, get a lower power watt meter than can measure milliwatts and see if you can measure +10dbm output. If you do not have the tools, then you may have to send it in for service.

I apologize I just noticed my typo. I tried my new transverter on a friends 6400 same radio as mine and his radio was able to get the new transverter working like my setup used to… I deleted profiles for the XVTR port and also did a factory reset… I was able to get a 5 watt carrier out of the transverter before it failed. And now with the new transverter I can get maybe a watt and a half to 2 watts out of the transverter..0

Yes looks like I am going to have to send it in… but thank you to everyone who chimed in..0
