External Keyer

Okay, I would like to use an external keyer but my Accessory plug is being used to control the amplifier (Expert Linear 1.5K). Is there another way to key the radio? i.e., Can I use the output of a keyer to go into the input of key jack on the back (there is nothing that says key/fsk as it says in the manual). What magic smoke will I create if I do that?

Hi Cy, you can plug an external keyer into the key jack. You then need to turn Iambic off.

Yep. Saw your comment from way back when when I forgot I asked the question. Followed your idea and it works perfectly. My K44 is very happy with the Flex. Thanks
