It is hard to tell with limited information and there about a dozen configuration things that could impact this, a few of them with WSJTx.

My 'guess' is that his WSJTx Audio Receive bandwidth is not seeing the entire audio passband. He can see his audio receive passband by looking at WSJTx's waterfall.

Screen shots of his problem will tell more of the story.

The passband is set at 3kc and it receives fine when not in Fox Hound mode.
FT-8 works perfectly on all bands. Calls don't show up on he band activity screen but activity can been seen on the water fall
    Thanks Frank

Is he really in Hound mode or has he put WSJTx in Fox mode?

It was in the Hound mode for sure. I'm aware of the difference. Thanks for the response

Try using Fake It in radio settings in wsjt-x.

You may wish to ask the WSJTx developers.

Fake it plays no role with a flex. It’s purpose in an analog radio is to move the transmit frequency to the center of the transmit pass bandwidth. The flex pass band is flat, so no change using fake it.
