Does the TGXL send out phantom CiV data to the connected PGXL?
I have had the TGXL for several weeks. Initially I had some problems using the ICOM 7610 as the "other" transceiver but Flex had a firmware fix for this. I made a cable for the CiV data from the 7610 which parallels two cables--one to the PGXL and the other to the TGXL. They do work getting the frequency data to both units. What I have noticed is that the TGXL generates a low level of CiV data which it sends to the PGXL when connected. With the ICOM 7610 off (no power supplied) and the TGXL on, the PGXL reads CAT .15 where the data for B or my ICOM 7610 is configured. My only explanation for this is that the TGXL is sending that data over the parallel CiV line. When the 7610 is turned on, the CAT data is correct and follows the transceiver. It only cosmetic but I thought the Flex engineers may want to know.
