Why are DX Spots not included as standard in the Maestro software?

Hello,

Why are DX Spots not included as standard in the Maestro software? 

Even in the new SmartSDR MAC this is already present.

Very annoying to only have to have a separate computer to get up for that.

just a suggestion

    The SPOTS feature requires a DX Cluster client of some sort to feed the Maestro with the data to populate the spots onto the panadapter. The Maestro is a dedicated client that does not currently incorporate 3rd party DX Cluster client software.

    You don't need DX Cluster "3rd party client software", just the server address of the external DX Cluster server.

    Is absolutely not extra burdensome for the Flex software.

    Why can't it at least show the flex memories as spots like smartsdr on the iphone and ipad do? Nothing external needed...those frequencies and labels are in the radio. (pleeeeease?)

    SSDR V3.0.19 was released almost 2 years ago. Not seeing much progress with new and very basic features like integrated cluster spots management. Seems like a dead horse, even the latest 3.1.12 has been out for 9 months now. Can we expect to see some development in the near future ?

    There are several logging programs that already can provide spot integration (DX Labs, N3FJP, N1MM+, etc) so why reinvent the wheel? What good are spots without logging software?

    iI use N3FJP for casual logging and N1MM+ for contests.

    Just a thought..

    The MAC SmartSDR and iOS apps are so much easier to setup DX spots. I think that's the point of the original post. Wish that were true for Flex SmartSDR.

    Indeed, have been using SmartSDR for MAC for some time now, it's just great.

    The reason you need to use an external resource is to manage the spots.

    Clusters can generate so many spots that it will overwhelm the Maestro tablet. Imagine just how bad it could be in a contest like CQWW SSB. Each spot needs to be investigated for frequency and then pushed to the right location on the waterfall.

    By having an external package, that has more computer horsepower than you need, to filter out the spots to just what you need to keep your Maestro happy and not overwhelmed.

    That is the core part of why it is the way it is.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
