connect a PPT switch to flex 6500 and KPA-500
I currently have a Flex 6500 and have a KPA 500 on order. My headset is a audio technica bphs1 with an xlr plug for the microphone and a 1/4" stereo plug for the phones. I will need a PTT switch and not sure how to connect this to the 6500 with my current headset. I understand the rca cable hookup to the PPT input on the KPA 500 that will connect to the TX1 connector on the 6500. It looks like I either need a another cable someplace but not sure were. The PTT switches that I have seen have a single cable that varies from phono to 3.5 to 1.4" As far as I can reason I must connect the switch through the headset somehow. Sorry if this is elementary but a novice on the 6500 and working only FT8 so far. Thanks for any help

The PTT and the Mic are really different things.
To make it easy, you will be connecting a cable with an RCA connector on both ends to TX1 on the radio and the Amp Keying on the Amplifier.
This should answer the rest of the items.
