Moving F 6400 to a remote site and need a simple laptop pc

I want a pc at my remote site for the obvious reasons ie:

Running smart SDR local to the radio for digital audio modes

Running WSJT-X for direction to the radio without internet lag

Running util for amp etc


I have a high end Dell laptop in the shack with multiple monitors which works great but I would like to buy a dedicated laptop to put in the remote rack just to run the above applications. i would want a SSD for very fast boot up, and support for headless HDMI dongle to simulate multiple monitors when using team viewer.


What would you recommend as low cost but very good quality?

    What about a NUC?

    Mike, I never thought of a NUC. I like the laptop as it has a battery and thus its own UPS. With a NUC I would set it up using a monitor and keyboard and then place it at the remote site and access everything via team viewer? If I can have the NUC automatically reboot itself after a power failure, I guess a UPS is not that important. I will give you a call on the Flex DMR ch and we can discuss it.

    If an NUC has 1 HDMI video port on the box and I use a headless dongle at the remote end, when I log into the NUC with team viewer can I still have multiple monitors displayed?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
