Not upgrading to SmartSDR v3.2.34 - Remote Operator Question

Is there any danger in not upgrading to the new version?

Currently running v3.3.31 and not having any issues. The radio is located on a mountain top that I would not be able to get to for several weeks as I have no way to remotely factory reset the radio.

The previous version also required a cold reboot but I was able to upgrade successfully without having to factory or cold reboot the radio.

Is the factory reset a must requirement for this new version?

For all remote operators, we do ask that you wait until you can do a proper reset on the radio unless there is some reason that you must upgrade.

I did my remote, remotely, without issue. Odds are you'll be fine, but I would just wait as a matter of good practice.

Thanks Mike, I do have a PC at the remote site on the same LAN.

When you did yours remotely, did you have to do a hard reset?

I do have a switch connected to the remote plug on the Flex. Would really like to not have to travel to the site.

    Thanks.

Read Tim's release notes. It is recommended to do a factory reset after upgrade then import older (3.1.12) profiles and do not use the 3.2.31 profiles.

You will be better off waiting until a site visit if 3.2.31 is working now.
